The Generalitat encourages the installation of warning systems for the population for information and emergencies
As of December 30, 2022, the Department of the Interior of the Generalitat of Catalonia opens a new call for subsidies for town halls and county councils to promote the creation of civil protection infrastructures. The call aims to equip town halls and county councils to facilitate the tasks of the emergency and civil protection teams, primarily in favor of the smallest municipalities according to the bases published in July 2022. Among them, there is a Grant to install municipal public address system.
The amount of the subsidies is a maximum of €4.00 per beneficiary.
Which items are included in financial aid
The resources that municipalities can subsidize are divided into three categories:
- Means and resources to warn and inform the population in situations of risk or emergency: Fixed public address system and for vehicles, as well of orother elements of notice to the population. It also includes means of informative signage, high visibility vests, fences, accesses, etc.
- Means and resources to welcome and care for the population affected by emergencies: space heating and cooling equipment, lighting, generator sets, etc.
- Means and resources to prevent and minimize serious risks and the effects of emergencies: salt spreaders, snow shovels, flood containment elements, water pumps, motorized pumps, etc.
